For those times of the month like just before payday, when you realise you haven't budgeted as well as you thought, or an emergency has cropped up and you need an extra little bit of cash, as a ufirst member you can apply for a Buffer Limit of up to £500 to cover those unforeseen expenses. And as long as your account balance is in credit or within your arranged Buffer Limit, we will not charge interest.
(0% EAR plus monthly membership fee of £9. Available only to ufirst account customers. See note 1 below.)
If you would like to request a higher overdraft limit, please speak to your branch. (see note 2 below)
1 The Effective Annual Rate (EAR) is the real annual cost of an overdraft, shown as an annual rate, which takes into account how often interest is charged to the account. All other charges, such as arrangement fees, will be shown separately from the EAR. Lending criteria, terms and conditions apply. We may need security.
2 Overdraft is repayable on demand. The overdraft facility may not be exceeded without the prior permission of Ulster Bank. If you exceed your overdraft limit, we will charge interest at the rate stated in our "A Guide to Personal Accounts Fees and Interest" brochure. A Maintenance Charge and other charges may also apply. Please ask in branch for details.
Over 18's, residents of Northern Ireland only.
If you close or downgrade your ufirst Current Account you will no longer be entitled to this benefit.
